  1. Is there a demo available for Troubleshooting Industrial Controls?

No, there is no demo for the Troubleshooting Industrial Controls program available at this time. However, there are a couple of videos available in the Downloads and Resources section of this website.

One video is a general overview of the program, and the second video shows the process of solving a fault on the simulator. While these videos won't allow you to play with the simulation, they should give you a pretty good idea of what is in the program and its features.

  1. Do the demos run on Mac computers?

The demos will not work natively on a Mac. However, it is possible to run the software on Intel-based Macs running a Windows operating system.

The three ways to run Windows programs on Mac hardware:

    1. Parallels: http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/
    2. Fusion: http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/
    3. Bootcamp: http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/bootcamp.html

All of these require an Intel-based Mac, which basically covers Macs purchased after mid 2006.

  1. After I download the setup file(s) I get an error when trying to install the demo(s).
Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

It is possible that there was an error during the download process, or if more than one file was being downloaded and installed at the same time.

This can cause a corrupted file to be left in a temporary directory preventing the program(s) from being installed.

To fix this problem, clear the temporary files directory and then try downloading and installing the demo(s) again.

To clear this Temporary Files directory please do the following:

    1. From the Start Menu open My Computer.
    2. Right click on the "C" drive and select "properties".
    3. On the "General" tab click the "Disc Cleanup" button.
    4. Ensure "Temporary Files" is selected.
    5. Click the "OK" button
